How to use 204S Sickle Scaler:
204S Posterior Sickle Scaler has a shorter shank and it has a tip versus a toe. To get the correct working end, make sure that the elbow is pointed towards the posterior. If the elbow is pointed towards the anterior and the shank is coming across the tooth, then it’s a wrong working end. The shank of the 204S Scaler must be parallel. To use this, start right at your lining goal. Make a few exploratory strokes until you feel like all the calculus is gone. Then to do the horizontal stroke, point the tip towards the apex right, right toward the gingival sulcus.
